Meet the Members

I enjoy talking about mental health, but I would like to teach English to high school students. I love volunteering and helping within my community.

I’m from San Jose, CA. For all my life I’ve moved around the west coast. I’ve moved to Scottsbluff, NE for family and to set down some roots. I’m more than excited to be working with Youth in Power to help and explore my new community. I hope to soon be able to genuinely call my home.

I am the first-born grandchild; I grew up watching all 15 cousins and 3 of my siblings grow up. I learned how to be careful and respectful to be around kids. After learning those skills, that is what I want to be in the future.

Youth in Power is a really great group that makes it easy to help the community. I’m really grateful for the volunteering experience it will give me.

After a few years of school, I decided to do something good and important with my time like joining Youth in Power and doing some community service. Youth in Power is an important organization for the community run by teens where they help make a better community.

I grew up in Denver, CO most of my life. I moved to Nebraska in April 2021. I’m very well organized and love joining clubs, programs and sports to stay active.

I’ve lived in Scottsbluff, NE my whole life. I’m big on being able to help by doing something I love. Making someone’s day brings me a big feeling of success. “Youth in Power helps with interacting in the community by allowing young people to take charge of community service projects, which allows them to develop great leadership skills. I’m glad to be apart of something that benefits more than just myself”
